Let's just say it.

But I don't like needles.

Good — most people don't. Here's the part nobody tells you: our needles are about the width of a hair, and a lot of what we do doesn't involve them at all. We have a gentle Japanese style built for needle-sensitive folks, completely needle-free care for kids (Shoni-Shin), plus red light, cupping, massage and herbs. You bring the nerves — we'll bring the options.

Why we're here

Built by someone who needed it first.

On Point was founded in 2015 by Melissa Lone, DACM, L.Ac., fABORM — a former Broadway singer and dancer who spent ten years doing eight shows a week, and paid for it with chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety and her own fertility struggles. Acupuncture is what got her life back. So she built the practice she wishes she'd had: grounded, credentialed, genuinely warm.

Being "On Point" is where peak performance meets inner clarity — vitality as the harmony of mind, body and spirit, whether you're nurturing as a parent, leading as a CEO, or training as an athlete. We're not here to chase symptoms. We're here to get you back to thriving.

What we do

One team. A whole lot of ways to feel better.

From a first acupuncture visit to fertility support, a deep-tissue massage to needle-free care for your kid — here's everything under one roof. Not sure which door is yours? Start with "Talk to us" and we'll point you the right way.

Where we go deep

Two things we're known for — and trusted with.

Fertility

Real fertility support, from a real fertility specialist.

Owner Melissa Lone is fABORM — a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine — so this isn't a sideline. We support natural conception and IVF / IUI cycles: regulating cycles, egg quality and uterine lining for women; mobility, morphology and count for men. Physical and emotional support, alongside your RE.

Pediatrics — needle-free

Gentle, needle-free care for kids.

Kids get Shoni-Shin — a non-invasive Japanese style using manual pressure, gentle warmth and light, no needles. We see children for allergies, constipation, ear infections, asthma, sleep, digestion and more. Parents tell us we're good at connecting with their kids.

Meet the team

An all-women team — each drawn to this medicine by her own healing.

That's not a coincidence; it's the whole point. Every practitioner here came to East Asian medicine through her own body and her own story — which is exactly why they're so good at hearing yours.

Come in, breathe out

A space that already feels like a deep breath.

You'll know it by the yellow flowers out front and the green ON POINT sign. Inside: warm terracotta walls, a driftwood-branch installation, soft light, a quiet relaxation room. We built it to feel like the opposite of a waiting room.

The real questions

Honest answers to the things you're actually wondering.

No jargon, no upsell — just the real stuff people ask before their first visit. See the full FAQ →

Does it hurt? What's "de Qi"?
The needles are extremely thin — most people feel little to nothing, sometimes a dull ache that gives way to muscle relief. That ache is "de Qi," and it's a good sign.
I really don't like needles — what are my options?
Plenty. The gentle Japanese Meridian style, needle-free pediatric care (Shoni-Shin), red light, cupping, massage and herbs.
What should I wear? How do I prepare?
Loose, comfortable clothes — think athletic shorts and a tank or short sleeves.
Are cupping / gua sha marks normal?
Yes. Cupping marks are normal and fade in a day to a week; they shouldn't hurt.
Do you treat kids? Is it safe and needle-free?
Yes — Shoni-Shin is completely needle-free, for ears, allergies, sleep, digestion and more.
Do you take insurance?
We're in-network with Optum and some UnitedHealthcare plans, and we provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. FSA / HSA accepted. Email your card to onpointawc@gmail.com to verify.
Do you do fertility / IVF–IUI support?
Yes — cycle regulation, egg quality and lining for women; count, motility and morphology for men; alongside your IVF/IUI cycle.
How do I book? Do you offer telehealth or home visits?
Book any time on Acubliss. We also offer a 30-min telehealth / herbal consult and home visits (post-surgery, homebound, postpartum).
What happens at my first visit?
An 80-minute initial intake: assessment, diagnosis, acupuncture front and back, and as needed cupping, gua sha, heat, brief massage and herbal / nutrition guidance.
